Dimapur, Dec. 4 (EMN): Aspirational district review meeting of the medical department in Kiphire was conducted in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office, Kiphire, on December 3. The meeting was chaired by the deputy commissioner, Kiphire, Ajit Kumar Ranjan.
An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Kiphire, stated that block programme managers (BPMs) from the CMO’s office made powerpoint presentations of their respective block comprising Kiphire Sadar, Pungro block, and Sitimi/ Seyochung block. The presentations focussed on health indicators, immunisation, human resources, and action plans for improvement among others.
A brief report was also presented by the district coordinator of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) followed with a discussion to make the public aware of the benefits under the scheme and increase enrolment.
It stated that the DC reviewed the reports and gave feedbacks on areas that need improvement, actions to be taken to improve the performance percentage. He has particularly emphasised on IEC activities to sensitise communities about the importance of ante-natal check-up and institutional deliveries.
The meeting also deliberated on the infrastructural requirements in health units under the CMO’s office to which the deputy commissioner has taken note to look into the matter.
The meeting was attended by administrative officials from the district headquarters and the three blocks, medical officials from the CMO’s office and three blocks including other vertical programmes.
