Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has expressed its appreciation to the government of India, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and state’s Health and Family Welfare minister S Pangnyu Phom for approving to upgrade the District Hospital Mon to a full-fledged medical college.
Describing it as a fulfilment of “the long cherished dream of the people of eastern areas”, the federation stated in a press release on Monday that the ‘upcoming medical college will not only cater to the people in the eastern region of the state but will also benefit the people from some neighbouring states and even the Nagas and others living along the India-Myanmar border’.
‘The federation wants that, since the medical college was a long-felt need of the people of eastern areas, once the nitty-gritty works are done and once the foundation stone are laid and when the works begin, everyone gives their best for successful completion of the college at the earliest,’ the statement read.
The federation further assured all kind of support and co-operation for the successful completion of the said project.
