Media fraternity bids farewell to PRO (Def)

Kohima, Aug. 21 (EMN): Public Relations Officer (Def), Kohima, Lt Col Sharma, has been relieved by Lt. Col. Amit Shukla in Kohima on Sunday.
Despite assuming office in September 2019 and a large part of his tenure was under the shadow of COVID-19, Sharma nevertheless said his stay in Nagaland has been a “memorable one.”
On August 20, scores of media personnel from Kohima met Sharma in his office to bid him adieu and wished him the best, while being introduced to the new defence PRO.
“Your guidance, cooperation and understanding certainly helped me in accomplishment of my responsibilities. I am sanguine that this camaraderie and friendship will continue to grow,” Sharma said while acknowledging media fraternity and others in a note of gratitude.
He informed that he was being relieved by Lt. Col. Amit Shukla, which he described him as “thorough professional and a gentleman who brings with him years of experience.” “I move on with great memories of this beautiful state and its people. May God always keep blessing our beautiful, serene and vibrant Nagaland,” Sharma added.
