Dimapur, Feb. 4 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima and DEO, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has notified through a statement that a Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) has been constituted for the upcoming general election to the Nagaland parliamentary constituency 2019 with DC and ARO Kohima as the chairman. The members of the committee include assistant commissioner and nodal officer EEM, Vineet Kumar, IAS; IIS, news editor AIR Kohima, Asonuo; and DPRO Kohima, RuopfulenuoHuozha (member secretary).
The DC has informed that MCMC will be responsible for certification of advertisement and monitoring of both print and electronic media, including cable networks. The committee will record either in CD or DVD; and keep photocopy of all advertisements or paid news and election-related news of the contesting candidate and political parties.
