Mokokchung, Nov. 18 (EMN): With the aim to spread awareness to the mass about legal aid services, Mokokchung District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA), in collaboration with the district administration, organised a cycle rally-cum-walkalthon in Mokokching town on the theme ‘Connecting to serve.’
The rally was flagged off from Town Square by the Deputy Commissioner, Sushil Kumar Patel, and culminated at Imkongmeren Sports Complex where a short programme was hosted by the judicial magistrate, Phuleto Yeptho, Secretary, MDLSA.
In a short speech, Phuleto enlightened the gathering that the rally was especially organised to educate the people about the existence of legal services institutions and free legal services meant for the poor and the marginalised.
He hoped that the awareness programme would empower the poor and weak and educate the mass about the availability of free legal services.
It may be mentioned that members of Trail Hounds Cycling Club, Run Mokokching Team and members of Fitness Studio Gym, Mokokchung, and other like-minded citizens participated in the rally.
