MOKOKCHUNG — The Konyak Students' Union Mokokchung (KSUM) advanced to the semifinals of the MDFA Trophy 2024 with a decisive 4-1 win against NU Lumami in a quarterfinal match held at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on Wednesday.

Son after the game began, KSUM’s Naoman Konyak scored the opener in the 7th minute. Building on the momentum from this early goal, Naoman found the net again in the 16th minute.

Pangtem Konyak added another goal in the 42nd minute, concluding a half in which KSUM's midfield and attack consistently overpowered their opponents.

NU Lumami managed to pull one back in the dying moments of the first half, with Neilie Konyak scoring in the 45th minute to make it 3-1.

KSUM maintained their composure in the second half, and once again, in the 81st minute, N Alei Konyak sealed the win with a fourth goal, ensuring KSUM's 4-1 victory.

With their quarterfinal victory, KSUM will face Team Gilgat in the semifinals.

The third quarterfinal will be played on October 24 at 1:00 pm between Super Seniors and Moanungsang Memorial Sporting Club.
