Maths coaching culminates in Phek

Kohima, March 17 (EMN): A one-month free mathematics coaching class under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) for students appearing HSLC examinations culminated on March 16 at  Government Higher Secondary School, Phek.

The free mathematics coaching class was initiated by district administration and DLCW- Mahila Shakti Kendra (BBBP), Phek, with an aim to boost confidence of the students appearing the HSLC examination 2021, stated a press release from the district administration.

It stated that the deputy commissioner of Phek, Razouvolie Dozo, graced the programme and encouraged the students to work hard mentioning that there is no substitute to hard work. He also urged the student to overcome the misconception of finding difficulty in Mathematics, saying that it could be overcome through dedication and hard work.

Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Phek, Wetsho Lasushe, chaired the programme and a prayer for HSLC appearing students was pronounced by Rev. Nuvosai Vese, pastor of Bible Hill Baptist Church, Phek town.

During the programme, three students namely Dekholu Vese of Bishop Abraham Memorial School, Benjongsunep Walling of Holy Care School, and Chitso of Royal Foundation School shared their experiences. On  behalf of teachers, Kezevituo Chielie and Ashok Kumar of Government Higher Secondary School Phek shared their coaching experiences.

Altogether, 200 students have attended the coaching class. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vilenuo Kapu, Women Welfare Officer, DLCW-Mahila Shakti Kendra, Phek.
