Valedictory function of 45th batch secretariat services foundation course held at Kohima

The valedictory function of the 45th Batch Secretariat Services Foundation Course was held today with Pankaj Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department and Home Commissioner as chief guest. In his speech, Kumar congratulated the participants for successfully completing the course and also on entering Government Service through NPSC. Mentioning that the Government service is an organized service, he exhorted the participants to master the government norms and procedures without which no government servant can progress forward.
Stating that procedures need to be known, remembered and produced during taking decisions, he encouraged the participants to make strong foundations of service in their initial years as government servant. Also reiterating that life is a continuous process and that there is no full stop for learning in career or in life he wished that participants success in their careers.
Short speeches were also delivered by Neihu C. Thur IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Transport and Director ATI and Lithrongla G. Chishi, Secretary, Home Department & Additional Director (Administration), ATI. Kaholi Sema, Lecturer (Accounts) & Course Coordinator gave a report on the course evaluation and the training contents. The programme was chaired by M. Khezhie, Additional Director (Training), ATI and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Hovithal N. Sothu, State Coordinator (DM), ATI, Kohima.
The three months long training programme was attended by a total of 20 newly recruited Secretariat Assistants of 2013 Batch and 7 UDAs/LDAs from the directorates.
