Massive landslide near Chümoukedima check gate affects traffic, one car damaged

Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): A massive landslide occurred near Chümoukedima check gate in Dimapur on Saturday morning, a traffic official informed.

The official said that the landslide occurred about three kilometres after the check gate, at around 5 am.

The traffic official informed that one-way has been cleared for vehicular movement, during the filing of this report.

“It was a huge landslide and clearing the road for traffic to move both ways might take some time,” the official added.

Further, he informed that a car was severely damaged by the falling boulders but no casualties were reported.
