Massive fire at Namgailong Rongmei Colony in Dimapur

DIMAPUR — A devastating fire swept through Namgailong Rongmei Colony in Dimapur’s Kevichusa Sector late Wednesday night, leaving approximately 100 houses damaged.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported, according to ASI G Niamlungpou Gonmei of Dimapur’s Central Fire Station.

Firefighters from Central, West, and Chümoukedima fire stations responded promptly to a distress call received shortly after 9 pm, successfully extinguishing the blaze within an hour and a half.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities are yet to assess the full extent of property damage.
