DIMAPUR — In commemoration of World Environment Day, a mass social work will be conducted in Chozuba town on June 5 from 7 am onwards.
The mass social work will be conducted with an emphasis on plastic waste management targeting single-use plastic (SUP).
In a notification, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of Chozuba Town Council (CTC), Dr. Diana, directed all the heads of offices, institutions, ward authorities, GBs, chairmen, the sanitation committee, business union, religious places, women and student organisation under Chozuba town to participate in it.
Further, it was mentioned that the three best performing wards under segregation and storage of plastic waste, commencing from May 20 until June 1, will also be announced and prizes will be given away to the winners at the office of the ADC and administrator, CTC, on June 5 at noon.
Extra Assistant Commissioner, Chozuba, Sangpangchang Longkumer, will be monitoring the overall conduct of the programme as scheduled.
