DIMAPUR — In view of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, mass social works were conducted on August 9 in Medziphema and Tizit sub-divisions.
According to a DIPR report, the mass social work in Medziphema, Chümoukedima district, commenced from 6 am, where all government offices and institutions participated in cleaning their respective offices premises and areas by segregating debris and waste disposal. The social work was conducted successfully with active participation from all government offices and citizens.
In Tizit, Mon district, the ADC office organised the mass social work, which saw active participation from all government offices, private institutions, and residents, who collectively cleaned their respective offices and surrounding areas.

Mass social work in Pfutsero on August 12
Meanwhile, ADC Pfutsero Mhalo Humtsoe has informed that there will be a mass social work in Pfutsero on August 12, as part of the district-wide effort to promote cleanliness and community service. The mass social work will take place from 6 am to 8 am and will involve government employees and the general public. The event is being organised in collaboration with Pfutsero Town Council, a DIPR report stated.
The initiative follows a resolution passed during the DPDB Meeting on July 14 which aims to conduct mass social work in all villages and towns under Phek district once a month. The upcoming event is also in celebration of Independence Day 2025.
