Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): A mass rally for early Naga political solution will be held on August 5 in Dimapur. This was decided by the Nagaland People’s Action Committee (NPAC) during a meeting at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur on Thursday.
Representatives from all tribal hohos, Dimapur based civil organisations, non- Naga community, business associations etc. attended the meeting, a press statement informed.
During the meeting, a local committee was also formed for the smooth conduct of the rally. The members include presidents of Naga Council Dimapur, Western Sumi Hoho, Ao Senso Telongjem, Confederation of Nagaland chamber of commerce and Industry, Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation, Private Bus Association, Muslim Council Dimapur, Niuland GB Association, Chumoukedima GB Association, Dimapur Naga Students’ Union, Dimapur Women Hoho, Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum, Dimapur District GB and Dimapur Auto Driver Union. The member secretary of the committee is Akhu Gangmei Naga, it stated.
The NPAC also appealed to all the citizens of Dimapur and neighbouring districts to support the call for peace and solution to the Naga political issue and participate in the proposed rally.
