Mass rally for early political solution held at Tamenglong

Imphal, Sep. 18 (EMN): In support of the framework agreement, an ongoing Indo-Naga political talk — demanding the Govt. of India to settle the long pending Naga political issue, a mass rally and meeting was held at Tamenglong HQ in Manipur on Tuesday Sep. 18.
The rally was jointly organised by the by Inpui, Liangmai, Zeme, and Rongmei under the aegis the United Naga Council (UNC).
The participants carrying placards and banners which read: ‘We support historic Framework Agreement,’ ‘We want political solution’ and many more marched from
Tamenglong Mini Stadium to Deputy Commissioner’s office and submitted a memorandum, addressed to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, submitted through the district authority.
The UNC president Gaidon Kamei, Naga Women Union Manipur President Asha Wungnam and tribal council leaders delivered speeches.
The UNC president read out a three-point declaration for ‘early settlement’.
