Martyrs’ Trophy: Phezoucha Youth and Phesama Youth Organisation win

Kohima, Sep. 24 (EMN): Phezoucha Youth and Phesama Youth Organisation won their respective matches on the fourth day of the 20th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at the Kohima local ground on Wednesday, September 25.

The first match on Wednesday was played between Young Kicker’s FC and Phezoucha Youth.

Kevi Thupz opened the score for Phezoucha Youth in the 32nd minute that made the team lead in the first half.

After the breather, Asatuo doubled the score for Phezoucha Youth in the 43rd minute to make it 2-0. Young Kicker’s FC came back with a goal through Avibo Awomi who scored in the 59th minute. Young Kicker’s FC tried hard to equalise but failed and eventually lost 1-2 to Phezoucha Youth.

In the second match Phesama Youth Organisation (PYO) beat Seiyhazou Hill Boys FC 2-0.

The first half of the match was locked in goalless draw for the teams and after the lemon break, Skipper Chedevi Mejura of PYO opened the goal for in the 58th minute. Rokotolie sealed the deal for PYO after scoring the second goal in the 75th minute.

Three players Virüyo Seleyi, Kedosekho Thanyü, and Neisaleto Kipu of PYO were cautioned with yellow card for unsporting behaviour.

Viswemi FC vs Kohima Science College, Jotsoma (02:30 pm)
