Kohima, Sep. 27 (EMN): The seventh day of the ongoing 20
th NSF Martyr’s Memorial Trophy at Khuochiezie, Kohima local ground on Friday, September 27 saw two spectacular matches, where Fresh Kickers FC, Tseminyu and Viphoma Youth Organisation (VYO) emerged victorious.
In the first match of the day between Fresh Kickers FC, Tseminyu and Aztec FC, the first goal was scored by Monush Lapang of Fresh Kickers FC, Tseminyu in the 23rd minute. Zakiezokho doubled the score for Fresh Kickers FC, through a penalty in the 35th minute. The first half ended 2-0, in favour of Fresh Kickers FC, Tseminyu.
In the 53rd minute of the second half, Aztec FC was awarded a spot kick, taken by Noune Talie but was brilliantly saved by the custodian of Fresh Kickers FC. Zakiezotuo scored his second goal for Fresh Kickers FC in the 68th minute and finished off the match with a hat-trick in the 69
th minute.
The solitary goal for Aztec FC came from the boots of Ru-ungulie Mezhu in the 67th minute. With the final whistle, Fresh Kickers FC, Tseminyu beat Aztec FC 4-1.
In the second match between Viphoma Youth Organisation and ICFAI University Sovima, both the teams failed to score in the first half but Viphoma Youth Organisation managed to register win when an own goal was scored by Thejasezo of ICFAI University Sovima in the 81st minute. With the final whistle Viphoma Youth Organisation beat ICFAI University Sovima 1-0.
