Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars retain number one in UK singles chart

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]nglish DJ Mark Ronson has retained the top spot in the Official UK Singles Chart for a third non-consecutive week with ‘Uptown Funk’. The track featuring Bruno Mars sold 156,000 copies and was streamed nearly 2.56 million times this week, setting a new Official Chart record by beating its own previous record of 2.49 million audio streams last week, reported BBC online. DJ Philip George is new in at two with the Stevie Wonder-sampling ‘Wish You Were Mine’, while Ed Sheeran remains at three with ‘Thinking Out Loud’. ‘X Factor’ winner Ben Haenow is down to four with ‘Something I Need’ and Taylor Swift rounded out the Top 5 with ‘Blank Space’. This week’s biggest risers are Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ featuring Jess Glynne, which climbed 22 places to 28, and Sigma’s ‘Changing’ featuring Paloma Faith, which climbed 20 places to 33. Kanye West’s new release ‘Only One’, which features Paul McCartney, entered the chart at number 35.
