Manipur Univ. conducts seminar to study academic management

Imphal, Feb. 5 (EMN): An orientation programme about ‘academic administration and educational management’ was inaugurated in Manipur University recently.
Speaking during the occasion, the vice-chancellor of Manipur University Professor Adya Prasad Pandey said teachers should be the role model for students as well as for the society. This type of programme will enhance in knowledge sharing among the teachers and students, the official said.
Also, Prof Pandey suggested that it is a good opportunity to write research papers. There are no limits of learning new knowledge. Flow of knowledge should be maintained to keep abreast with the development in the field of education system across the globe while adding that the research activities should be initiated in colleges of the state.
In his speech, the director of Manipur Institute of Management Studies Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei said the present government was ‘very much focused on the development of higher education in the state.’
