Manipur: Two thieves, one stolen vehicle dealer apprehended

Imphal, May 3 (EMN): Six two-wheelers and one four-wheeler vehicles were recovered in three separate incidents in Manipur.

A team of Bishnupur district police and district commando unit from Manipur arrested two vehicle lifters along with two two-wheelers.

The arrested vehicle lifters identified as Md Mujib Khan (25) of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai and Md Nawaz Khan (20) of Lilong Mayai Leikai along with the seized vehicles have been handed over to Kumbi police station for further legal action.

In another incident, one person — Amom Sanamacha (32) of Wangoo Heinoujam Leikai — suspected to be a habitual dealer in stolen vehicles was arrested. Four two-wheelers were recovered from his possession.

In another incident, a police commando team of Bishnupur also recovered a four wheeler vehicle (Kia Seltos) from a road side near Thinungei Primary Sub-Centre after it was abandoned when a commando team chased them when the vehicle suspiciously drove away from a frisking/checking point on April 26. An enquiry is being conducted by Bishnupur police station.

The recovered vehicles are: one Suzuki Gixxer, one Royal Enfield bullet metal black, one Royal Enfield bullet black, one Yamaha Fascino grey, one Jawa bike blue, one Activa 6g blue, one steel silver colour Kia Seltos.
