Manipur: Tourism department holds roadshow in Bangkok

Imphal, Aug. 1 (EMN): Manipur Tourism department along with Tourism Corporation of Manipur Ltd. (TCML) organised a roadshow at Central World Shopping Plaza in Bangkok to promote the Manipur Sangai Festival at the ongoing North East India Festival (July 29-31, 2022).

The festival saw performances of various artistes from Manipur including the famous Rhythms of Manipur, SIYOM- an experimental folk based musical ensemble and a fashion show parade by Robert Naorem showcasing Manipur’s handloom products.

The officials from Manipur Tourism including Asst. Director W Romen Singh (Tourism) Manipur and Manager (PR & Events) Bidyananda Hanjabam of Tourism Corporation of Manipur Ltd. shared information about the upcoming Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 and various tourist attractions of the state with potential travellers of Thailand to Manipur.

“The roadshow will help strengthen and increase inbound travel to Manipur from Thailand. It will also enhance the marketing efforts of Manipur Tourism to promote the Manipur Sangai Festival to travellers in the kingdom of Thailand,” said W Romen Singh.

The event witnessed participation of over 13 tour operators from northeastern states and over a hundred tour operators and agents from Thailand.
