Manipur: Three die in accident

Imphal, Sep. 8 (EMN): In an unfortunate road accident, three people reportedly died while four others suffered serious injuries in Manipur on Wednesday night.

According to sources, the incident occurred when a Maruti Swift car (MN05-1198) which was travelling towards Imphal with seven persons crashed into a road divider at Tiddim road near Ghari Awang Leikai area around 11 pm on Wednesday.

The victims were identified as Thokchom Boy (35), Konthoujam Bimolchand (31) both from Sayang Kurao Makhong and P Punshiba (27) of Kodompokpi while the injured persons are N Boycha (29) of Kwakeithel, O Bisan (20) of Chingnungkhok,Th Langthoi(21) of Langol and Y Rohit of Kwakeithel.

The injured persons have been rushed to RIMS hospital and Raj Medicity in Imphal wherein treatments are said to be on.

A case has been registered at the Lamphel police station under Imphal West district.
