Manipur: Security forces recover arms and ammunition

Dimapur, Jan. 10 (EMN): Security forces recovered arms and ammunitions including a rifle, which was snatched away on December 12 from Kangvai police outpost in Churachandpur, from Changoubung in Senapati district, Manipur, on January 8.

According to a defence release issued by PRO (Def) Lt. Col. Sumit K Sharma, the arms and ammunition were recovered based on specific intelligence inputs.

It added that security forces launched a search operation in the suspected area and recovered one Insas rifle, one 9mm pistol and a cache of ammunition.
