Manipur CEO Arun Kumar Sinha said 19.34 lakh voters submitted enumeration forms during the Special Intensive Revision exercise.
IMPHAL — A total of 19,34,399 voters in Manipur have submitted their enumeration forms during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise conducted from May 30 to June 28, reflecting overwhelming public participation, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Arun Kumar Sinha said on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference at the CEO office in Lamphelpat, Imphal, Sinha said the total includes 9,40,446 male voters, 9,93,660 female voters and 293 third-gender voters out of the state's total electorate of 20,93,076 as of June 28, 2026.
The CEO, accompanied by senior election officials, informed that enumeration forms of 1,58,677 voters could not be collected during the revision exercise. Of these, 43,000 voters were reported deceased, 34,740 were found to be untraceable or absent, 72,473 had permanently shifted, and 7,394 were enrolled in more than one Assembly constituency.
According to the SIR status report, Churachandpur district recorded the highest number of uncollectable forms at 38,264, followed by Imphal West with 17,187 and Imphal East with 16,709.

The claims and objections period commenced on July 5 and will continue until August 4, during which voters and political parties may seek the inclusion of eligible voters or the deletion of ineligible names from the electoral rolls.
Sinha said 60 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and 84 Assistant EROs have been deployed to scrutinise such claims and objections. The verification process of voters covered under the enumeration forms will continue from July 5 to September 2.
Special arrangements have also been made for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to ensure their participation in the revision process.
The CEO further stated that young citizens who attained the age of 18 years on July 1, 2026, have been invited to apply for enrolment by submitting Form-6.
To improve voter accessibility, the number of polling stations in the state has been increased from 2,956 to 3,041, he added.
Earlier in the day, Sinha held a meeting with representatives of national and state political parties to apprise them of the schedule and procedures relating to the claims and objections process.
