Manipur launches online enrolment for COHSEM examinations

Imphal, July 25 (EMN): Manipur Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam on Thursday launched a website (http://cohsemmanipur.nic.in/) for online enrolment of students from across the state for appearing examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM).

The website was launched during the prize and certificate distribution programme for the participants of the workshop conducted in October and November last year, organized by COHSEM in Imphal.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister emphasised on the importance of providing opportunity to the students to express themselves and to bring out innate talents.

Stating that today’s youths have huge potentials and talents, he said mentoring and guidance from teachers and parents will help them grow better.

Education(S) Director Thokchom Kirankumar Singh said it is important to provide training and capacity building programmes to the teachers to enhance their knowledge so that they could provide the best of education to the students.

Highlighting the initiatives taken up by COHSEM since 2017, council chairman L Mahendra Singh said that workshops were conducted to help the teachers adapt to the changes especially in the field of education so that they could impart effective education to the students.

Meritorious students of higher secondary examination (2018 and 2019), conducted by the COHSEM were felicitated. Retired principals and teachers were also honoured.
