Manipur Education minister, Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh on Saturday launched the Moodle Learning Management System for govt. and govt.-aided colleges of Manipur.

Speaking in the conference hall of the directorate of Education (U), Rajen said that the new initiative would immensely help the college students of the state during this pandemic.

‘The Moodle Learning Management System is a unique online education system of the latest version, which is simpler than other systems of learning. It is one of the most popular learning management systems,’ he said.

‘Education is a sector, which we all need to promote and prioritise. For which, the education department has geared up to secure NAAC scores by the colleges of the state. The Commissioner, Director and officials of Higher Education have been working to promote education in the state,’ he added.

He stated that teaching is one of the noblest professions and those who are in the profession should serve with dedication as they play the role of shaping the society by imparting knowledge and skills to students.

‘If the education system fails, the whole generation will be lost. I urge everyone to co-operate with the government’s initiatives in boosting the educational sector in the state.,’ he said.

‘Moreover, obstructions and agitations by students and teachers’ organisations are hampering the teaching and learning process. Therefore, such unwanted activities should be stopped,’ he added
