Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Friday inaugurated a 100-bedded Scheduled Caste
Girls’ Hostel within the campus of Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) in Imphal.
- The hostel has been constructed under the supervision of the
Manipur OBC & SC Development Society (MOBEDS). The newly inaugurated facility
aims to provide a conducive living and learning environment for female SC
students, contributing to their academic growth and overall well-being.
- Following the inauguration, the governor chaired a meeting
at the University’s Administrative Block. During the meeting, various agendas
related to the academic and administrative functions of the university were
discussed, with particular emphasis on enhancing student welfare and
institutional efficiency.

- Bhalla directed the officials to perform their duties in the
best interest of the students and assured them that the government will provide
necessary assistance wherever possible.
- He also visited various departments of the university and
inspected the existing infrastructure.

Prakash, DMU Vice-Chancellor W Chandbabu Singh and other senior officials of
the university attended the meeting.
