Manipur Governor flags-off bike rally
Ajay Kumar Bhalla along with the chief secretary and security advisor flagging off a bike rally in Imphal on Tuesday.


IMPHAL — Manipur Governor, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Tuesday flagged off a bike rally as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Imphal.


The bike rally, organised by the Manipur Police in a run-up to the 79th Independence Day, was aimed at fostering patriotic spirit and encourage citizens to proudly hoist the national flag.


The event saw large participation of bikers, who covered more than thirty kilometres to reach the Khongjom War Memorial in Thoubal district.


Chief Secretary of Manipur, Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel; security advisor, Kuldiep Singh; DGP Rajiv Singh along with other civil and police officers attended the event.


Governor also attended the Tiranga concerts organised as part of Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 campaign held at the Palace auditorium, Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Imphal.

Speaking at the event, the governor said that the concert was not merely a celebration of culture, but a reaffirmation of unity through India’s diverse languages, traditions and communities. It concert showcased the spirit of patriotism, highlighting the nation’s vibrant heritage and shared identity.


The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeks to instill pride and strengthen the emotional bond between citizens and the spirit of patriotism.


He also noted that the Prime Minister’s vision called upon every citizen to embrace the Tiranga and actively contribute to nation-building. He further remarked that the Tiranga represents sovereignty, strength and the collective aspirations of the nation, embodying its rich history and the struggles of its people.


The governor also inspected stalls opened at MSFDS showcasing various handloom and handicraft products.
