Manipur Governor briefed on developmental programmes
IMPHAL — Director for Planning N Kulkarani Devi, along with the two officials, met with Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Monday and briefed him on the state government’s various developmental programmes.
She highlighted the government’s initiatives to rehabilitate internally displaced persons (IDPs) through various state government schemes.
While inquiring about plans for Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra implementation in Manipur, the governor suggested taking into account the state’s current situation and taking steps to ensure its economic sustainability. She also stressed the importance of future plans for women, youths, and children in relief camps.
Also, a team from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Manipur, led by Secretary RK Radhamohon Singh, met with the governor at Raj Bhavan on Monday evening and handed over Akshat, which had been sent from Ayodhya as a traditional invitation for the inauguration of the Ram Janmabhumi Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22.
