Imphal, July 28 (EMN): The 10-day ‘total curfew’ which was in force from July 18 in Manipur to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission, has been extended with effect from July 28 till August 3,2021.

The state chief secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar, who is the chairman of the state executive committee of the state disaster management authority, issued an order in this regard on Tuesday evening.

As per the new order of the state home department, opening of insurance offices will be allowed for three day from 10 am to 2.30 pm like in the case of banks.

The order allows the inclusion of vegetables/fish/meat and grocery items for home delivery in e-commerce as earlier. It also allows home delivery of cooked food by authorised delivery staff.

‘Deputy Commissioners shall issue necessary orders and superintendents of police shall take necessary action to implement the orders strictly’, the order said.
