Manipur CM launch ‘go to village’ mission in Laphupat Tera village

The mission was to find out the issues and address the grievances of the villages in the state. ‘Go to village’ was launched after the successful introduction of ‘go to hills’ mission in the state by the Bharatiya Janata Party led coalition government in the state. Addressing the function Chief Minister said that ‘go to village’ was launched across 60 villages in its 60 assembly constituencies. The mission was designed after a thorough discussions and meetings as ‘the present government would work for the welfare of the people,’ he added. Stating that the government would extend every possible help to uplift the lives of the people, Singh assured that such mission would create an opportunity to build a bright future of the people. Since 1972, there has been democratic elected government. However, there has been a minimal positive change in the state. ‘With this new mission, the government would identify the eligible and deserving beneficiaries and deliver government services at their doorstep. There are 2515 census villages in the state and the data collection of the requirements of such village would be completed in 11 months,’ Singh said. While mentioning about the ‘alarming rise of cancer’ in the state, CM has announced that the government would set up a ‘dedicated cancer hospital’ and a general hospital to cope such health problems soon. He added that, a high end laboratory will be established to examine the cause of such health problems. Singh also said that the party belongs to the people and is for the people. He said that the government endorses the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ a collective effort towards inclusive growth. The Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Bhabana hoped that CM’s initiative ‘go to the hills’ have rooted out the mistrust and misunderstanding among various communities in the state. He said that such mission as this is an ‘innovative idea to deliver government services at people’s doorstep.’ Welfare assistance was distributed to the beneficiaries under various departments. Beneficiaries received materials such as construction of individual household latrines, soil health cards, paddy seeds, weaver cards, sewing machines etc.
