Imphal, June 28 (EMN): Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the government has begun a mass vaccination programme for all eligible citizens in every constituency with the support of elected representatives such as MLAs, Pradhans, Zilla Parishads and others in the state.
Speaking to reporters on the sideline of inspecting the construction of Nongpok-Thong (Eastern Gate) of Kangla Fort, Biren Singh sought the cooperation and support of the people during the mass vaccination drive adding that the utmost priority of the government is to save precious lives during this pandemic.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]Biren urged upon the people to take all necessary precautions, preventive measures and follow all Covid appropriate behaviour to overcome the disease.
On the construction of Nongpok-Thong, he said that the feeling of oneness, peace, harmony, and prosperity would be upon the people in the state as it was started after consultations with the historians and experts.
Maintaining that the government has set a target of completing the construction of Nongpok-thong, footpath and recreational park soon, he informed that it would be dedicated to the people by October this year.
Minister for Consumers Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Th. Satyabrata, Chairman of Planning and Development Authority, T Robindro Singh, MP (Rajya Sabha) Maharajah Leisemba Sanajaoba, MLA of Langthabal constituency Karam Shyam, DGP Manipur LM Khaute and other top ranking officials, accompanied the chief minister during the inspection of the construction site.
