Manipur CM flags off Covid-19 vaccination express

Imphal, Nov. 11 (EMN): Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has urged the people to join their hands together in achieving 100 percent vaccination rate in the state before Christmas, to celebrate Christmas and New Year with zeal. Biren Singh was speaking at the flagging off programme of Covid Vaccination Express for 13 districts of the state on Thursday.

Stating that the Covid-19 situation is improving with decline in the infection rate, he appealed to the public to get vaccinated at the earliest.

Urging the people not to believe in false rumours regarding Covid-19 vaccines, he urged the church leaders, village chiefs and CSOs of hill districts to convince the people to get vaccinated. Stating that India has developed two indigenous Covid-19 vaccines to fight the pandemic and save crores of precious lives, the chief minister said that the country has crossed 100 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines under the dynamic leadership and guidance of PM.

On the occasion, the chief minister thanked CARE India team for providing humanitarian service by providing vaccination at people’s doorsteps across the state.

It may be mentioned that 120 vehicles and staff have been provided by Care India for Covid Vaccination Express under their CSR initiative. The NGO will directly fund the hiring charges, staff expenses, operational expenses for the Covid Vaccination Express vehicles and staff. The vehicles are equipped with necessary equipment, vaccines and medical personnel, who will travel to every nook and corner of the districts to vaccinate people at their doorsteps.

The chief minister had flagged off the Covid Vaccination Express for Imphal East, Imphal West and Senapati districts last month.
