The Manipur Cabinet portfolios have been announced, with Losii Dikho handling Public Health Engineering and Forests, Environment and Climate Change after President’s Rule was revoked.

IMPHAL — A month after taking oath of office, the Manipur government has officially announced the allocation of portfolios to members of the state Cabinet through a notification issued on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh will oversee any department not specifically allocated to other ministers, according to the notification.
Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen has been allotted the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and Tribal Affairs and Hills departments, while Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho has been assigned Public Health Engineering and Forests, Environment and Climate Change.

Minister Konthoujam Govindas Singh, MLA from Bishnupur, has been given charge of the Home and Youth Affairs & Sports departments. Minister Khuraijam Loken Singh, MLA from Wangoi, has been entrusted with Arts & Culture and Tourism.
President’s Rule in Manipur was revoked on February 4, following which a new government was sworn in under Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, along with two deputy chief ministers and other ministers.
It may be mentioned that former Chief Minister N Biren Singh resigned on February 9, 2024, and President’s Rule was imposed in the state on February 13, 2024.
