Man arrested for murder attempt in Noklak

Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): The Noklak Police arrested one person named Wakho (28), on attempted murder charge. This was informed by the superintendent of police (SP), Pritpal Kaur, on Wednesday.

 Speaking to Eastern Mirror, Kaur informed that on October 18, the accused went to the victim’s house at around 11 pm and attempted to murder him while he was asleep.

 “The police was informed the same night; we made teams and searched the whole night and caught the accused next morning around 8:45 am,” informed Kaur.

 Kaur informed that the accused and victim were friends and had a “misunderstanding” over financial issues, which led to the incident.

 The victim sustained head injuries and is currently admitted at the community health centre (CHC) in Noklak.

 The SP informed that a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
