Man arrested for allegedly raping minor girl in Assam

DIPHU — A minor girl was allegedly raped by a 20-year-old man from Tripura Basti under Borlangpher Police Station in Karbi Anglong, Assam, on February 24.

The victim's father and witnesses have accused one Krishna Ram of giving intoxicating item to the minor girl before committing the crime.

Meanwhile, the victim was taken for a medical examination on Sunday night and an FIR lodged at the Borlangpher police station.

The accused has been arrested and an investigation is underway.
