Dimapur, June 14 : The Mangkolemba Ao Lanur Telongjem (MALT) has demanded immediate action against Thsipong, HA in Sub-Divisional Education Office (SDEO), Mangkolemba for not joining office since his detachment from District Education Office (DEO) to SDEO, Mangkolemba on May 23.
A communique issued by MALT president Imjong Longkumer and general secretary Lanutemjen said, Thsipong was transferred on promotion to the SDEO Mangkolemba and joined office on June 5, 2015.
It however said, after submitting the joining report, he did not attend the office even a single day till he was attached to the DEO, Kiphire on February 29, 2016 through an official order.
Mangkolemba SDEO Establishment is one of the largest education establishments in the state with 54 GPS, 13 GMS and 11 composit schools and covering schools in two districts of Mokokchung and Wokha.
Also, Mangkolemba sub-division comprised 3 out of 6 ranges in Mokokchung district, namely Jangpetkong, Japukong and Tsürangkong and is the largest sub-division in the state.
The MALT questioned and condemned the move through various representations to the minister, school education as well as the commissioner & secretary and principal director, school education. Subsequently, the concerned department detached Thsipong, HA from DEO, Kiphiri to SDEO, Mangkolemba.
“Furthermore, we have also noticed serious irregularities, discrepancies and unprofessional conduct by Chubamenla, SDEO Mangkolemba in accepting the joining report of Thsipong, HA without submission of Last Pay Certificate (LPC) and Service Book (SB) in SDEO Establishment, Mangkolemba on June 5, 2015. These documents were not submitted till the time the attachment order was issued from the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland to Thsipong, HA.”
MALT expressed dismay that the concerned SDEO had not taken any action nor sent any report to the higher authority regarding the continuous absence of Thsipong to till his attachment to DEO, Kiphire. The MALT questioned the government as to how Thsipong has drawn his salary for 9 absent months.
“This clearly shows complete irresponsibleness and lackadaisical attitude towards the education establishment of Mangkolemba sub-division by SDEO Mangkolemba.” The MALT questioned the motive of the SDEO.
The MALT strongly felt that Chubamenla, present SDEO of Mangkolemba, is incompetent and irresponsible to administer the state of affairs in the largest SDEO Establishment in Nagaland and demanded the head of the department to look into the issue with utmost sincerity and sensitivity at the earliest.
The MALT also demanded that immediate action be taken against Thsipong, HA “as we have a total of 78 government primary, middle and composite schools and more than 500 teachers in the establishment whose service and its records depend upon the few staff manning the SDEO office in Mangkolemba where the service and the responsibility of the HA proves imperative and paramount.”
The MALT further cautioned any legislator or political party leader from unnecessary involvement in its affairs in future. “The MALT is firm and committed to fight tooth and nail against any form of corruption.”
