DIMAPUR — A malaria awareness programme was organised at Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland, on Tuesday, with over 350 cadets in attendance.

A medical team from District Hospital Jalukie, led by Dr. Hedungkiebe, District Programme Officer, delivered a lecture on the occasion, highlighting the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of malaria, according to a press release.

Emphasising the importance of awareness, he provided practical tips on avoiding mosquito bites and reducing the risk of malaria transmission.

Also, blood samples from 45 randomly selected cadets were collected for malaria testing to identify any potential cases for early intervention.
