The three-day Zoommax management meet began today organized by the School of Management Studies, Nagaland University (SMS) with Deo Nukhu, Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education and SCERT as the chief guest at Holy Cross auditorium , Dimapur.
In his address, Nukhu shared on the importance of ‘living a disciplined life’. “Amongst all kind of managerial activities, managing oneself is the most important of all,” he advised the students. He said in order to industrialize our region, participation of people with a positive outlook has become a necessity.
Calling the present stage as the ‘age of specialization’, Nukhu encouraged all the management students present to shine in their area of interest by making optimum use of the resources available, while he further encouraged the students to strive hard in achieving their goals and serve the people of the state for a better tomorrow.
The Dean, SET & SMS, NU, DP Chaturvedi, in his speech encouraged all the students present to magnify their talents through ‘Zoommax’ by giving exposure to their hidden talents stating that ‘hidden talents never grow to perfection.’
The 6th Zoommax 2014 is a three-day annual event where students from various schools come together and participate in the meet.
The programme is initiated with a view to offer a platform for the MBA students to put classroom learning into practice and to sharpen the management skills through real time event management.
Whereas, creating history as the only management meet in the state and making it the first of its kind, more than 30 higher educational institutes and colleges from all over the state are taking part in the event which will cover various events and competitions like debate, essay competitions, spelling bee, photography and many more including various business discussions.
Rozelle Mero, Medo Putsure and Temjen Imna Longkumar are also part of the management meet as resource persons.
