Maibongsa dies in car accident in KA

Our Correspondent Diphu, July 20 (EMN): In a tragic road accident one person identified as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) East Karbi Anglong District Committee (EKADC) ex- vice-president Padma Maibongsa was killed on the spot and two others seriously injured when their vehicle hit a tree due to puncture tyre on July 19 evening around 6:30 p.m according to reliable sources. The accident happened at Bakalia under Bakalia Police Station when the Wagon-R vehicle they were travelling hit a roadside tree on their way back to Diphu from Haflong. The two injured persons identified as Ranger Ranjan Baruah and DN Sonowal were taken to Bakalia PHC from where they were referred to Nagaon for further treatment, sources said.
