DIMAPUR — Maharashtra and Mizoram registered dominating victories in their respective matches of the ongoing Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier-II) in Chümoukedima on Tuesday.
In the first match of the day, Maharashtra secured a 2–0 win over Madhya Pradesh. According to an update, from the opening whistle, Maharashtra asserted their authority, recording 71% possession and dictating the tempo throughout the match.
According to an update, Ipshita (jersey 9) broke the deadlock in the 4th minute with a clinical finish. Maharashtra continued to press, and their efforts were rewarded again in the 13th minute, when Sharvari (jersey 10) doubled the lead with a well-placed strike.

Madhya Pradesh, limited to 29% possession, struggled to move out of their defensive half. They managed only one shot on target. Maharashtra, meanwhile, created 13 shots on target and eight off target. They also earned nine corners.
The match saw minimal fouls, with Madhya Pradesh committing three and Maharashtra one. Maharashtra received the only yellow card of the game.
The second match of the day saw Mizoram overpower Himachal Pradesh 8–0 at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium.
Mizoram dominated the fixture from start to finish, securing a decisive result in the ongoing championship.
