With 200 meters left to cover, you stumble and fall hard on the track after running half the distance so as to be titled as the champion. What good did it do you making it to the mid point and never the goal? I call it lukewarm, warmish.
Lukewarm is owning something, a part but never the whole. Unable to see the bigger picture, it is unsatisfying.
“… Lukewarm is no good…” says Roald Dahl. On examining our lives today, each one of us in some way exhibits a lukewarm lifestyle. Look, the kind of lukewarm Christians we have turned into who go to church, partake in groups and try to ‘fit’ God in our lives when actually ‘He’ should be our life. Wavering emotions, doing good deeds when in reality one has a blackened heart. Surely, being a lukewarm Christian is not enough, it is a sin. You and I are never too ambitious or hardworking to achieve success. We are fools who believe that change is not possible overnight while our actions seem to be contradictory. Our actions are never enough. It is always lukewarm.
A better version of yourself is waiting for you at the finishing line. Get up and run.
