Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN): Khulio King FC stormed into the final of the ongoing Loyem Memorial Trophy by defeating DEF, Tuensang 6-1 at Loyem Memorial Ground, Tuensang on October 24.
Khulioh King FC will now take on Nyenshen FC in the final for the championship title.
An update from the organisers of the tournament informed that Shurhosol scored the opening goal for Khulioh King in the 26th minute after which the floodgate opened. Longkhoi scored two goals in the 30th and 41st minutes to 3-0 lead in the first half. Then Kekhrie scored two goals in the 53rd and 61st minutes for the team.
Yemjonh of DEF, Tuensang managed to pull back one goal by scoring in the 65th minute but that was not enough. Benjamin added one more goal for Khulioh King in the 83rd minute to end the game at 6-1.
The final match of the tournament will be played between Khulioh King and Nyenshen FC on at Loyem Memorial Ground, Tuensang on October 26.
Three exhibition matches will be played on October 25 with Tuensang District Football Association taking on Tuensang Private Local Taxi Drivers' Union; Organising Committee LMT vs All Private Teachers' Association; and Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong vs Chang Gazetted Officers' Association.
