Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): It was raining goals on the sixth day of the ongoing Loyem Memorial Trophy 2019 on Wednesday with 12 goals being scored in just two matches.
Nyenshen FC thrashed Laiket Lembou Seadogs 12-0 in their encounter at Loyem Memorial Ground, Tuensang on October 16.
Rithso Mero scored five goals -- in the 23rd, 27th, 29th, 44th and 48th minutes – becoming the highest scorer so far in the competition with nine goals. His teammate Imlong Chaba scored four goals in the 19th, 21st, 31st and 41st minutes, while Pete, Aloumai and Ratobe scored one each in the 7th, 25th and 56th minutes respectively.
Seadogs have lost all three matches played, conceding 27 goals so far in the tournament. They have one more match remaining to play.
In the second match of the day, United Saksi FC defeated Skipper Young FC 1-0. Longsu scored the lone goal for United Saksi FC in the 29th minute.
