Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): The Lotha Hoho on Monday expressed surprise that the Naga Hoho was ‘still unaware’ of the former having dissociated from the latter since 2008.
A statement from the Lotha Hoho reminded that its dissociation from the Naga Hoho was published in the regional newspapers on September 6 2016. “Hence the Lotha Hoho will not recognise any Lotha individual who may hold any official post or organisation or individual who may attend any programme/meeting of the NH; but such an individual or organisation is deemed as self-styled and illegal and anti-Lotha.
“The LH further condemns the action of Mr. Mhonchumo Mozhui, self-styled cultural and customary affairs of NH. The said Mr. Mhonchumo Mozhui is asked to immediately demit his post in Naga Hoho lest the Lotha Hoho take disciplinary action against him,” the statement read.
The Lotha organisation again asserted its dissociation from the Naga Hoho ‘and will continue to remain so.’ “The Naga Hoho may also be reminded that the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC), of which the LH is a constituent unit, had also dissociated from the Naga Hoho, vide media publication of 1st September 2016,” the statement read.
