Lotha community in Ralan area holds peace rally

WOKHA — Ralan Area Lotha Hoho (RALH) and Yanpha Village Council (YVC) on Thursday jointly organised a peace rally at Yanpha Bazaar junction in protest against the heinous crime committed upon one of its members and pastor of Yanpha Baptist Church on August 24 by one Akhekivi, a cadre of Khango-led NSCN/GPRN (R), without any reason.

The rally was attended by hundreds of youth, elders, men and women, who displayed placards urging the law enforcing agency to book the culprit under NSA and award stringent punishment.

Speeches were delivered by members from Yanpha Village Council, Ralan Area Baptist Churches Association, Ralan Area Students’ Union, Lotha Students’ Union, Dimapur Lotha Youth Organisation, Ralan Area Lotha Hoho and Lotha Hoho headquarters.

LYH to hold public rally on Sept. 2

The Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH), under the aegis of Lotha Hoho, has decided to organise a public rally on September 2 at 10 am in Wokha town against the physical assault meted to Rhanlamo Kikon, pastor of Yanpha Baptist Church, unabated illegal taxations, harassments, intimidation and death threat to common people.

LYH has requested the public of Wokha town, 10 members each from every village councils under Wokha district, Wokha Town Council members, Colony Eloe Hoho members, Colony Youth Organisation members, inter-denomination church organisations, business community and students to attend the rally. It has also requested all the members to come with traditional attire.

LYH further requested the travelers passing through Wokha town to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience during the public rally.
