Lotha Catholic community holds day of recollection in Kohima

DIMAPUR — The Lotha Catholic community of Kohima observed a day of recollection at St. Francis De Sales Church, Kohima, on September 21, in preparation for its forthcoming golden jubilee.

According to a press release, Rev. Fr. GL Khing was the speaker at the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr. Khing emphasised the importance of keeping the faith alive amidst the temptations of life.

He said that a Christian life is not counted by the number of works. It is counted by the godly lives and works people do in the name of God.

He encouraged the members to stay alert and keep watch so as to be victorious against the vices of sin. He added that love for God and neighbours must be the mark of Christian lives.

He elaborated on the seven corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Hundreds of faithful participated in the programme along with the sacrament of reconciliation. The programme culminated with the Holy Eucharist.
