Wokha, Dec. 12 (EMN):
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton on Saturday appreciated the catholic institutions in Nagaland for transforming the society through education and helping the people to excel in various fields.
Patton was addressing the Lotha Catholic Association (LCA) silver jubilee celebrations at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School campus in Wokha town on December 12.

He stated that it was a historical occasion, ‘a lifetime achievement’ for him and urged the people to forgive one another and receive blessings through the celebration.

He also said that the celebration was possible only through various visionary leaders and reminded the congregation to acknowledge those leaders that they may receive more blessings.

The minister advocated the right usage of mobiles and social media sites where he lamented that the younger generation waste most of their valuable time on cell phones that could hamper their future.

Earlier, Johnny Ruangmei, president of Catholic Association Nagaland (CAN), in his short message, shared how the LCU was formed leading to the 25-year celebration.

Rev. Dr. Bishop Thoppil, bishop of Kohima Diocese also urged the congregation to practice what you preach.

He hoped that through the celebration of the LCU silver jubilee, everyone would ‘rededicate their lives and rejuvenate fruitfully.’
