The game is still behind the first placed PUBG: Battlegrounds which set a record of 3,257,248 concurrent players back in 2018.

However, the achievement is quite impressive considering that the game was launched on the platform just yesterday.
Lost Ark is a second huge hit for Amazon Games, after New World set a concurrent record of 913,634 players four months ago.
Originally released in 2019 in South Korea, Lost Ark is a class-based isometric ARPG, it found huge success in the Asian markets. In a bid to bring the hit game to the masses, Amazon Games partnered with Smilegate and launched it as an paid early access game a few days ago, before going full free-to-play on Saturday.
Despite a shaky launch day issues and server problems, the game going free-to-play has been a huge success. At the time of writing, SteamDB recorded 1,141,836 concurrent players on Steam.
Lost Ark's explosive success could be attributed to several factors. For starters, it is full of action-heavy content and the writing is quite exceptional. The game is also very easy to get into and unlike most MMO's it does not feel repetitive and grind heavy.
If you are looking for an excellent MMO to experience then this is the game for you.
Although the game has a long way to go to surpass the peak record set by PUBG and it does seem nigh impossible to get that sort of numbers, however, if it can reach the second most-played position in 24 hrs then who knows what will happen in a week.
