Longleng, Tuensang DPDB meet

Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): The Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of SDO (Civil), Longleng, B Robin on Nov. 6 at the DC’s conference hall, Longleng.
Agendas including registration of Forest Development Agency (FDA), Longleng Division, submitted by the Forest department were tabled. DFO Longleng, Beizo Suokhere apprised the board that registration of the Forest Development Agency, Longleng division under Registration Societies Act, 1860 is essential to enable the department for implementation of SFDA projects and schemes, under the National Afforestation Programme and Climate Change.
After discussion the board recommended for registration of the FDA, Longleng division under the Registration Society Act, 1860.
On the proposal for renovation of roads from Longleng to its school submitted by St. Joseph School, Longleng, the chairman urged the PWD (R&B) for renovation of the same. SDO, PWD (R&B) informed that proposal for renovation of roads from Longleng to Tuensang under NEC has been sent, and the stretch of road from the school to Longleng would be resolved when the proposed project has been approved and implemented.
Informing of the College’s Silver Jubilee on Dec. 6, the vice principal, Yingli College, Henshet extended invitation to the members.
Tuensang: The Tuensang DPDB meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang on Nov. 6, under the chairmanship of DC &vice chairman DPDB, Tuensang, L Jamitung Lotha.
The meeting discussed the agenda for preparation of the District Vision, 2022. The preparation of the Vision 2022 was received from the Planning and Coordination Department. With further interpretation it was decided to dispatch the circular departmental wise for speedy result.
The proposal for changing the name of Wansoi and Wonthoi village was also tabled and the house decided to forward to the same to the higher authority.
Technical Feasibility Report of Yimchunger Tribal village for the permanent attachment of the departmental employees of the three affected villages namely Pungrungru, Huhdanger and Thsuthu villages to MO, CHC, Shamator Tuensang District from CMO, Kiphire was also deliberated and the same was decided to forward to DBDP, Kiphire for further action.
Other agendas discussed during the meet were renewal of registration for Network of Tuensang District People Living with HIV/AIDS, Women Welfare Society, Tuensang Town and Chang SAO Thangjam Setshang.
A short training on the functioning processes of the use of Voter Verification Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machine was also conducted by the district master trainers.
