Longleng to observe ‘World Day against trafficking in persons’

The Longleng district administration, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) and One -Stop Centre (OSC) in Longleng will be observing the ‘World Day against trafficking in persons’ on July 29 at VDB Hall

DIMAPUR — The Longleng district administration, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) and One-Stop Centre (OSC) in Longleng will be observing the ‘World Day against trafficking in persons’ on July 29.

The event will be held at VDB Hall on the theme ‘Reach every woman of trafficking: Leave no one behind,’ an official report stated.

The programme will witness the participation of various settlements and institutions, including representatives from Longleng town, Women Help Desk under the Police department, District Legal Service Authority, District Child Protection Unit, Phomla Hoichem, Phom Students’ Conference, women unit (Unionla) and girl students of standard X.

The participants have been requested to follow the guidelines and attend the programme positively. Further, students should come in full uniform and be at the venue on time.
